Consistent with the INVEGA SUSTENNA® Prescribing Information:
If more than 6 weeks to 6 months has elapsed since the last maintenance dose, resume the same dose the patient was previously stabilized on (unless the patient was stabilized on a dose of 234 mg, then the first two injections should each be 156 mg) in the following manner: 1) administer a deltoid injection as soon as possible, 2) administer a second deltoid injection 1 week later at the same dose, and 3) resume administering the previously stabilized dose in the deltoid or gluteal muscle 1 month after the second injection.
EXAMPLE USING THE INVEGA SUSTENNA® PRESCRIBING INFORMATION: A maintenance injection of INVEGA SUSTENNA® was missed at Day 176/Week 25. The previously stabilized dose (117 mg) was administered in the deltoid on Day 260/Week 37 with another 117 mg injection given in the deltoid one week later (Day 267/Week 38) since it was approximately 4 months (>6 weeks to =6 months) since the previous injection at Day 148/Week 21. Future maintenance injections should proceed at monthly intervals.
Tap or click and drag the dose to move within >6 weeks to 6 months after a missed monthly injection. Note the change in paliperidone plasma levels.
